Doctor Eufencio Rojas/NarcoQuest/Rojas Press
Doctor Eufencio Rojas is a constant presence in the city of Los Angeles. As his story evolves and grows in complexity and nuance, he continues to feed the project Vast Arcade Los Angeles with a sense of the macrocosm, of the peripatetic, of the traversing of unimaginable expanses of territory. He gives the project the language of maps, topography, dreamscape, mass hallucination, large conspiracy and a madness that comes from being all knowing. He claims to control the movements of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa through telepathy he learned from Carlos Castaneda.
There are two branches in the Rojas world dedicated to getting his message out. 
NarcoQuest is a yearly lecture tour that goes through the south, stopping at campuses from East Los Angeles College to Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
Rojas Press is a publishing company which produces booklets, pamphlets, audio CDs and maps. It's run by Jose Lopez Feliu, who has worked closely as Eufencio's assistant for decades.

In 1993, a man named Eufencio came to Los Angeles. He began to make a living selling simple objects of cultural interest out of the back of his truck.
In 1994, lightning struck and Eufencio began to harness the powers that he had cultivated over the years. After a brief stint at a photography studio, working as an assistant to a portraitist, Eufencio disappeared into the night- only to reappear on the scene with such metaphysical ferocity that the whole L.A. basin shook to its core.
